Definition

The two-word stage is the period in a child's life, usually around 18-24 months old, when they start to use two-word sentences to communicate.

Analogy

The two-word stage is like using Twitter with a very strict character limit. You have to get your point across quickly and efficiently, so you only use the most important words!
