Split-Brain

Definition

A term used when the corpus callosum connecting the two hemispheres of the brain is severed to some degree. This condition results in those hemispheres not being able to communicate as effectively.

Analogy

Imagine if you had two chefs working in a kitchen, but they couldn't talk to each other. One chef might be chopping vegetables while the other one is also doing the same thing because they can't coordinate their actions. That's what happens when someone has a split-brain - the two halves of their brain struggle to work together.
