Specific types of motivations refer to the various sources or reasons that drive people's actions or behaviors. These can include intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, achievement motivation, etc.

Analogy

Think of specific types of motivations as different fuel types for cars. Some cars run on gasoline (like extrinsic motivation), some run on electricity (like intrinsic motivation), and some are hybrids (a mix). Different fuels motivate the car to move in different ways.
