Definition

These are the highest level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs; fulfilling one's potential and realizing one's unique capabilities. It involves personal growth, self-fulfillment, seeking personal enlightenment and knowledge.

Analogy

Imagine self-actualization as reaching the peak of a mountain. The journey up represents your life experiences and learning while reaching the top signifies achieving your full potential - being all you can be!
