PYY

Definition

PYY (Peptide YY) is a hormone that helps regulate appetite. It's released by cells in the intestines and colon after eating, signaling to your brain that you're full.

Analogy

Think of PYY as the polite dinner guest who tells you when it's time to stop eating. Just like how a guest might say, "I've had enough, thank you," after a satisfying meal, PYY sends a message to your brain saying, "We're full now."
