Nervous System

Definition

The nervous system is a complex network of nerves and cells that transmit signals between different parts of the body. It's divided into two main parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS).

Analogy

Think of the nervous system like a country's postal service. Just as the postal service sends, receives, and sorts mail to keep communication flowing smoothly across a nation, your nervous system sends, receives, and sorts information to keep your body functioning properly.
