Movement

Definition

Movement refers to any change in the position or posture of a living organism. It involves the activation of motor neurons that control our muscles.

Analogy

Think of movement as being the director in a play, guiding actors on stage. Just like a director coordinates all the movements and actions to bring a performance to life, our brain orchestrates muscle contractions that allow us to move, walk, dance, or even type on a keyboard.

Related terms
