Definition

In Vygotsky’s theory, these are people who have higher ability level than the learner when it comes to a particular task, process, or concept.

Analogy

Think of More Knowledgeable Others as the GPS in your car. When you're driving somewhere new, the GPS (More Knowledgeable Other) already knows the way and guides you there.
