Long-Term Memory (LTM)

Definition

Long-term memory is the final stage of the dual memory model, where information is stored indefinitely.

Analogy

Think of long-term memory like a vast library. It's where all your knowledge and experiences are stored, from what you learned in kindergarten to your grandmother's apple pie recipe. Just like a librarian retrieves books from shelves, your brain can retrieve these memories when needed.
