Definition

Intergroup conflict refers to conflicts or tensions that arise between different groups due to differences in goals, values, resources, or identities. It often involves hostility, competition, and negative attitudes towards members of the opposing group.

Analogy

Think of two rival schools competing for the highest test scores. Each school tries to outperform the other academically and socially. This creates tension and animosity between them, which represents intergroup conflict.
