Initial Excitement

Definition

The first phase of the sexual response cycle, where there is an increase in heart rate, blood pressure and breathing. This phase also includes physical changes such as erection in males and vaginal lubrication in females.

Analogy

Think of initial excitement like the start of a roller coaster ride. You're strapped in, your heart starts to race, you feel a rush of adrenaline - that's your body preparing for what's about to come.
