Definition

These are societies where the interests of the individual are prioritized over the interests of the group. People in these societies tend to be more independent and self-reliant.

Think of an individualistic society like a salad bowl, where each ingredient (individual) maintains its own unique flavor and characteristics, rather than blending together.
