Definition
Grammar encompasses all the rules related to language structure including word formation (morphology), sentence structure (syntax), and sound patterns (phonetics).
Analogy
If language is a toolbox, and syntax is the blueprint, then grammar would be like the building codes. It ensures that everything not only fits together but also meets certain standards for safety and functionality.
