Delta waves are the slowest type of brain wave, typically occurring during deep sleep or meditation. They're associated with healing and regeneration in the body.
Think of delta waves like a deep-sea diver. Just as a diver plunges into the depths of the ocean where everything is calm and peaceful, your brain enters delta wave state when you're in deep, restorative sleep.
Theta Waves: These are slightly faster than delta waves and occur most often during light sleep or extreme relaxation.
Alpha Waves: These are even faster and occur when we are relaxed and calm, but still awake.
Beta Waves: The fastest of these four types, beta waves occur when we are alert and actively thinking or problem-solving.
