Common Sense Theory

Definition

The Common Sense Theory of emotion suggests that we first perceive an event, then experience an emotional response, and finally have a physiological reaction.

Analogy

Think of it like watching a scary movie. First, you see the monster (perceive the event), then you feel fear (emotional response), and finally your heart starts racing (physiological reaction).
