Definition

Coercion involves forcing someone into doing something against their will, often through threats or manipulation. In psychological research, it's unethical to coerce someone into participating in a study.

Analogy

Imagine being pressured by your friends into riding a roller coaster even though you're scared of heights. That's coercion - you're being pushed into doing something you don't want to do.
