Definition

An integrated approach that incorporates biological, psychological, and social-cultural levels of analysis for understanding human behavior or health issues.

Analogy

It's like making a smoothie. You can't just have fruit (biological); you also need liquid (psychological) and a blender (social-cultural) to make it all come together.
