3 Primary Emotions (Evolution)

Definition

These are the three basic emotions that have evolved in humans and animals for survival. They include fear, anger, and happiness.

Analogy

Think of these primary emotions as the basic colors on a painter's palette. Just like red, blue, and yellow can be mixed to create a wide range of other colors, these primary emotions can combine in different ways to produce all our complex emotional responses.
