Resistance is a measure of how much an object or material opposes the flow of electric current. It determines how easily or difficultly electrons can move through a circuit.
Think of resistance as a narrow hallway with many obstacles. The narrower the hallway and the more obstacles there are, the harder it is for people (electrons) to pass through.
Ohm's Law: It states that the current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage applied across it and inversely proportional to its resistance.
Conductivity: It refers to the ability of a material to conduct electricity. Materials with high conductivity have low resistance, while materials with low conductivity have high resistance.
Resistivity: It is a property of a material that quantifies its inherent resistance. Resistivity depends on both the type of material and its dimensions.
