Definition

A positron is the antiparticle or antimatter counterpart to an electron. It has the same mass as an electron but carries a positive charge.

Analogy

Think of an electron as a regular superhero and a positron as their alter ego. Just like how superheroes have their evil counterparts, electrons have positrons - they look similar but have opposite charges.
