Definition

Lightning is a natural electrical discharge that occurs during thunderstorms. It is a sudden and powerful flow of electrons between clouds or between clouds and the ground.

Analogy

Think of lightning as nature's fireworks show during a stormy night. Just like fireworks light up the sky with bright bursts, lightning illuminates the dark sky with its intense electrical energy.
