Velocity (v)

Definition

Velocity measures how fast an object's position changes with respect to time. It includes both speed and direction.

Analogy

Think about velocity as driving on a highway with multiple lanes. Speed alone tells you how fast you're going, but velocity also considers whether you're moving forward or backward in relation to your destination.
