An open-closed tube is a type of musical instrument or resonator that has one end open and one end closed, affecting how sound waves travel through it.

Analogy

Picture blowing across the top of an empty bottle with your lips slightly covering the opening. The air you blow causes vibrations inside the bottle, producing different pitches depending on how much you cover the opening.
