Rhythmic Values

Definition

Rhythmic values refer to the duration or length of musical notes and rests. They determine how long each sound or silence lasts in relation to other sounds in a piece of music.

Analogy

Imagine rhythmic values as different lengths of time for activities. Just like how you can have short bursts of exercise or longer periods of rest, musical notes and rests have different durations that create rhythm.
