A dotted quarter note is a musical note that lasts for three beats. It consists of a quarter note with a dot placed next to it, which adds half of its original value to the note.
Eighth Note: An eighth note is half the duration of a quarter note, lasting for one beat.
Half Note: A half note is twice the duration of a quarter note, lasting for two beats.
Whole Note: A whole note is four times the duration of a quarter note, lasting for four beats.
