Definition

The Trojan War was a legendary conflict between Greece (specifically, Sparta) and Troy, described in Homer's epic poem, "The Iliad." It lasted for ten years and resulted from Paris, a prince of Troy, abducting Helen, the wife of Menelaus, king of Sparta.
