First Triumvirate

Definition

The First Triumvirate was an informal political alliance formed by Julius Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus in ancient Rome. They joined forces to consolidate their power and influence over Roman politics.

Analogy

Imagine three popular students at your school teaming up for a student council election. By combining their popularity and resources, they have a better chance of winning and controlling the student council. This is similar to how Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus formed the First Triumvirate to gain political power.
