Japanese language. It is the official language of Japan and is spoken by the majority of its population.
Think of 日本語 as the main character in a movie called "Language Land." Just like how the main character drives the story forward, 日本語 is the language that drives communication in Japan.
方言 (ほうげん): Dialects. These are regional variations of 日本語 that have unique vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
標準語 (ひょうじんご): Standard Japanese. This refers to the standardized form of 日本語 used in formal settings such as news broadcasts and written documents.
文法 (ぶんぽう): Grammar. This term refers to the rules and structure governing how words are combined to form sentences in 日本語.
