An area characterized by high population density and vast human features in comparison to areas surrounding it.
Think of an urban area like a bustling beehive. Just as bees are densely packed into their hive, working together and creating a complex structure, people in urban areas live closely together, work in various industries, and create a dense network of buildings, roads, and other infrastructure.
Urbanization: The process by which towns and cities are formed and become larger as more people begin living and working in central areas.
Metropolitan Area: A region consisting of a city with a large population density, its surrounding areas that are linked to the city through social or economic ties.
