The total fertility rate is the average number of children a woman would have if she were to live to the end of her childbearing years and bear children according to current age-specific fertility rates.
Think of TFR as a forecast for a family tree. It's like predicting how many branches (or children) will be added to the family tree based on current conditions.
Crude Birth Rate (CBR): The annual number of live births per 1,000 people.
Replacement Level Fertility: The level of fertility at which a population exactly replaces itself from one generation to the next.
Age-Specific Fertility Rate (ASFR): The number of births in a year to women in a specified age group per 1,000 women in that age group.
