Definition

Socially homogeneous populations refer to groups where members share similar characteristics such as race, religion, language or socioeconomic status.

Analogy

Imagine a box full of red marbles; each marble represents an individual in the population. Just like all marbles are red (similar), people in a socially homogeneous population share common characteristics.
