Definition
Social mixing involves bringing together people from different social backgrounds within shared spaces or activities, with the aim of improving community cohesion and reducing social inequalities.
Analogy
Social mixing is like a potluck dinner. Everyone brings something different to the table (their backgrounds, experiences, cultures), and everyone gets to share and learn from each other. It's a way of creating a more cohesive and understanding community.
