Population Pyramids

A population pyramid is a graphical representation that shows the distribution of various age groups in a population, which forms the shape of a pyramid when the population is growing.

Analogy

Imagine stacking blocks where each block represents an age group. The bottom blocks are wider representing younger people while top blocks get narrower as they represent older age groups. That's what a population pyramid looks like!
