Physiological Population Density

Definition

Physiological population density refers to the number of people per unit area of arable land - land capable for agriculture.

Analogy

Going back to our pizza party analogy - physiological population density would be like counting how many slices (people) there are per pizza (land area), but only counting the pizzas that everyone likes and wants to eat (arable land).
