Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)

Definition

NGOs are private, non-profit organizations that operate independently from the government and aim to address social, environmental, or humanitarian issues. They often work on an international scale and rely on funding from donors or membership fees.

Analogy

Think of NGOs as superheroes who fight for important causes outside of government control. Just like superheroes have their own unique powers and costumes, NGOs have their own missions and methods to make the world a better place.
