Jewish Diaspora

Definition

The Jewish Diaspora is the dispersion or scattering of Jewish communities outside of Israel. It began with forced exile from ancient Israel and continued through various periods in history due to persecution or voluntary migration.

Analogy

Imagine you are playing a game where you have colorful puzzle pieces that need to be put together. However, someone accidentally knocks over the box containing all those puzzle pieces, causing them to scatter all over the room. Just like how Jewish communities were scattered around different parts of the world due to historical events, those puzzle pieces ended up being scattered all over your room.
