Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Definition

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict refers to the ongoing political tension and military disputes between Israelis and Palestinians that began in the mid-20th century primarily over land rights in what is now Israel and Palestine.

Analogy

Imagine two siblings fighting over who gets to play with a single toy - both want it for themselves but they can't agree on how to share it fairly. That's similar to how Israelis and Palestinians are struggling over control of their shared homeland.
