The diffusion of culture refers to how cultural beliefs, social practices, language, technology etc., spread from one place or group of people to another over time.
Think of culture as a color of paint. If you dip a brush in that paint and start painting on a blank canvas, the color will spread across the canvas over time. That's similar to how cultural elements can spread from one region or group to another.
Cultural Convergence: This is when different cultures become more alike due to globalization or other influences.
Cultural Divergence: This is when a culture separates or goes in a different direction than others, often due to geographical isolation or differing cultural values.
Acculturation: This is the process of adopting the cultural traits or social patterns of another group while still retaining some aspects of one's original culture.
