Density

Definition

Density measures how crowded or compacted something is within an area. In geography terms, it usually refers to population density - the number of people per unit of area.

Analogy

Imagine a jar filled with marbles. The density of the marbles would depend on how tightly packed they are within the jar. More marbles in a smaller space mean higher density.
