Delimited Boundaries
Definition
These are drawn on a map by cartographers to show the borders between different areas.
Analogy
Delimited boundaries are like drawing lines in sand at beach to divide spaces among friends for their activities. The divisions might not be physically visible but everyone agrees where they exist because they've seen them marked out.
