Energiewende
Definition
Energiewende refers to the transition from traditional, non-renewable energy sources (such as fossil fuels) to renewable energy sources (such as solar and wind power) in order to combat climate change and promote sustainability.
Analogy
Think of the Energiewende like upgrading your phone. Just as you switch from an old, outdated model to a new one with better features, the Energiewende involves replacing old, polluting energy sources with cleaner and more efficient ones.

Erneuerbare Energie: Energy derived from natural resources that are replenished at a faster rate than they are consumed, such as solar or wind power.
