Definition
S'assimiler means to assimilate oneself into a group, culture, or society by adopting its customs, values, and behaviors as one's own.
Analogy
Picture yourself joining a new school where everyone wears uniforms and follows certain rules. In order to fit in and be accepted, you would need to adapt and assimilate yourself into the school's culture by wearing the uniform and following the rules.
