Sicily

Definition

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and an autonomous region of Italy. It has a rich history due to its strategic location, with various civilizations ruling it over time.

Analogy

Think of Sicily as a historical crossroads or a popular coffee shop where different groups (like Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans) have stopped by for a visit throughout history. Each group leaves behind some of their culture (or coffee cups), contributing to the unique blend that makes up present-day Sicily.
