Russian Revolution

Definition

The Russian Revolution was a period of political revolution across Russia in 1917 that overthrew the Tsarist autocracy and led to the establishment of Soviet Russia under Communist rule.

Analogy

Imagine if all students at school decided they've had enough with their strict principal (the Tsar) who doesn't listen to their needs or complaints. They band together (like workers did in Russia), protest against him/her until he/she steps down (abdication), then replace him/her with a student council (Communist government).
