Definition
A device used for communication that transmits and receives sound, most commonly speech. Modern phones (smartphones) also include features like internet access, cameras, and apps.
Analogy
Think of a phone as your personal assistant. It helps you communicate with others, reminds you of important dates or tasks, entertains you when you're bored, and even guides you when you're lost.
