The Internet is a global network of computers that provides information and communication facilities. It allows users to connect with each other, access data, and use services such as email, social media, and web browsing.

Analogy

Think of the Internet like a massive city where every building (website) can be visited. The roads (networks) allow you to travel from one building to another. Just like in a city, there are different types of buildings (websites) for different purposes - libraries (informational websites), shopping centers (e-commerce sites), cafes (social media sites), etc.
