Human rights abuses

Definition

Violations of basic rights and freedoms that are inherent to all human beings. These abuses can include torture, discrimination, forced labor, and denial of freedom of speech.

Analogy

Imagine going to an ice cream shop with many flavors available, but someone tells you that you're only allowed to have vanilla while others get any flavor they want. That's what human rights abuses are like - denying people their basic rights for no justified reason.
