Definition

Gold mining is the process by which gold is extracted from the earth. It involves several methods such as panning, sluicing, dredging or hard rock mining depending on where it's found.

Analogy

Imagine gold mining like playing an intense game of hide-and-seek where gold is hiding deep within Earth’s crust or riverbeds. Miners use different strategies (panning, sluicing etc.) just like you would use different tactics to find your hidden friends!
