A computer is an electronic device that manipulates information, or data. It has the ability to store, retrieve, and process data.
Think of a computer as a super-efficient office worker. Just like how an office worker can write down notes (store), remember instructions (retrieve), and complete tasks (process), a computer does all these but at lightning speed!
RAM (Random Access Memory): This is the 'short-term memory' of a computer where it temporarily stores data that it's currently working on.
CPU (Central Processing Unit): This is the 'brain' of the computer where most calculations take place.
Hard Drive: This is the 'long-term memory' of a computer where it permanently stores data.
