Protected areas

Definition

Protected areas are designated regions of land or water that are managed and conserved to preserve their natural, cultural, or historical significance. They serve as sanctuaries for biodiversity and provide habitats for various species.

Analogy

Think of protected areas as nature's "safe zones" where plants, animals, and ecosystems can thrive without interference. Just like how a library is a quiet space dedicated to preserving books and knowledge, protected areas are dedicated spaces for preserving nature's treasures.
